Nowak (ノヴァク, Nowaku) is major character in Part 1 of About the Movement of the Earth series.
Biography[]
Nowak is a former mercenary inquisitor. He arrested Hubert for his heretic research on the heliocentric theory, but later released him as he had reformed. He continued to observe Hubert and found out that he continued his research, he arrested and executed Hubert. As he had doubts about Rafał continuing Hubert's research, he threatens Potocki, who had been caught studying the geocentric theory before, and Potocki reveals that Rafał has been studying the heliocentric theory. Nowak then arrests Rafał, who later commits suicide.
